Today, Heart of a Champion proudly salutes, Dwight Giddens, as this week’s ‘Saturday Salute’ recipient! 🙂 R&D Performance, located in Lower Onslow Nova Scotia, has a long history with Maritime motorsports dating back to the late 1970s!

Dwight was the driving force behind the business that started, literally, in a small shed 40 years ago. Dwight has guided R&D into an industry-leading and successful high-performance business, catering to all disciplines of Maritime motorsports from stock cars, to Drags, 4×4, truck & tractor pulling, road course, karts, Legends, Bandolero’s, classic cars, plus many more! 🙂
Dwight has built many championship-winning power-plants over the years and helped countless racers get to the track to ensure car counts stayed strong! 🙂

From over 40+ years of dedication & passion to Maritime motorsports, Dwight has earned many titles such as innovator, ambassador, and champion. However, the title he is the best known for is ‘Friend to All’. Dwight is always willing to lend and hand, an ear, or offer advice to anyone who asks! 🙂
