Today, Heart of a Champion proudly recognizes Nova Scotia’s, Ross Bowness, as this weeks ‘Saturday Salute’ recipient! 🙂
In any conversation about who’s the ‘backbone’ of Maritime stock car racing, Ross Bowness would sure to be included!
Ross started his racing career at the famed, Drag City Speedway, then on to the big 1/2 mile paved oval at Atlantic Speedway. 🙂
Ross was one of those dedicated stock car competitors who helped build the foundation for the sport we enjoy today! 🙂
Ross’s green #56 was woven into the fabric of 1970’s Sportsman racing and was always in the ‘hunt’ for the win! 🙂
Ross Bowness is a true family man and his passion for motorsports has been passed along to his kids! Son, Rob, has also spent time behind the wheel and has been a longtime official and starter with Scotia Speedworld and the Maritime Pro Stock Series.
