Today, Heart of a Champions ‘Saturday Salute’ is New Brunswick’s hard charging racing family of Bob and Terry Charters! Bob began racing stocks and drag cars in the early 60s and raced around the Moncton area, primarily at Riverglade Speedway and McEwen’s Speedway. Bob always worked hard to get the most out of gear, taking home dozens of feature wins spanning over 3 decades! 🙂 Pro Stock or Sportsman, Bob was competitive in both and ran door handle to door handle with all of New Brunswick’s stock car hero’s of the 60s like Caleb Dunn, Walter Dunfield and Adelard Cormier! 🙂 Bob passed along his passion for motorsports to his son Terry, and together, they built a formidable Sportsman team in the 80s and 90s! 🙂 Watching ‘Team Charters’ was exciting and they helped to create many lasting memories for Maritime race fans! 🙂 Bob and Terry, thank you for all the years of dedication to Maritime motorsports!
