Today, Heart of a Champions ‘Saturday Salute’ is Moncton, New Brunswick’s, Walter Brooks! As a member of the Moncton Speed and Custom Club, back in the ’60s, Walter helped prepare the Scoudouc Airstrip for drag racing in 1963! 🙂 Video of the Scoudouc Dragway can be seen in our video section! 🙂 Walter is best remembered for his 440 HP Henry J which broke the Scoudouc speed record! Walter also had a ’64 Chevelle and ’56 Ford with over 400 HP that were also hard to beat! Walter was inducted into the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2006.
