Today, Heart of a Champions ‘Saturday Salute’ is longtime Nova Scotia motorcycle ambassador, Gerry Marshall! Gerry’s life long addiction to motorcycles started very early in life, which he owed to his brother Ronald! In 1951, his first motorcycle was a 1940 Norton Model 18! 🙂 Gerry’s riding accomplishments in Canada are vast and include 3 National Championships and 2 Provincial Championships, competing in nearly every discipline of motorcycle competition! Gerry’s accomplishments as a builder and ambassador of the sport are just as significant! As a Board member of the FIM, Gerry focused on improving rider safety at circuits and took great pride in seeing the improvements come to fruition, which are readily evident today. 🙂 We lost Gerry this past August but he will be fondly remembered as a fierce competitor, enthusiastic builder of the sport, dedicated volunteer and a gentleman’s gentleman. Gerry, thank you for all the time, energy and enthusiasm promoting and fostering the sport of motorcycling in Canada! You have the Heart of a Champion.
