Today, Heart of a Champion’s ‘Saturday Salute’ is Honorary-Maritimer, Don Biderman! 🙂 From Port Credit, Ontario, Don’s racing career began in 1964 at Pinecrest Speedway racing against the likes of Jim Hallahan and Earl Ross! Don was a Canadian icon in the racing world. A self-made man, Don lived for racing and he made it his career. A career highlighted with hundreds of feature wins, with some of the BIG wins coming at Jukasa Motor Speedway in the Maple Leaf 250, Riverside International Speedway in the IWK 250, Official Page of Oxford Plains Speedway in the Oxford 250 and Riverglade Speedway in the International 100! 🙂 Don’s career took him from coast to coast and even ran 2 years on the NASCAR Cup series circuit in the mid to late ’60s. Don was always a fan favorite and a man who spoke his mind, whether you agreed or not. 🙂 To say Don was a ‘character’ would be an understatement and arguably one of the best stock car drivers ever in Canada. 🙂 Don, you raced and lived with the Heart of a Champion! 🙂 Sadly missed and NEVER forgotten.
