Today, Heart of a Champion‘s ‘Saturday Salute’ is New Brunswick’s Earl Doucette! To say Earl is a motocross and motorcycle enthusiast, would be an understatement!  The ‘Godfather’ of New Brunswick Motocross started racing in 1975 after watching a live race the previous year. From then on, Earl was hooked and his passion for the sport runs deep!  Earl was a member of the Westmorland Cycle Club and one of a group of five that founded the Riverglade Motocross Track in the late ’70s.  After his successful riding career, Earl took on the duties of an official, doing tech inspections, and became an Atlantic Region race official in 1983.  As a promoter, Earl has left an indelible mark on Maritime Motocross racing. Earl’s commitment to the sport is evident in the fact that he’s been to every motocross race at Riverglade since the facility opened in 1977! Always willing to lend a hand and give back, Earl will wear any ‘hat’ necessary to continue moving the sport forward!  Earl was inducted into the Maritime Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2011 and a true motorsports ambassador.
Earl, thank you for the decades of commitment to Maritime motorsports! You have the Heart of a Champion Photos: FB
