Today, Heart of a Champion proudly salutes Debby Hallahan! Although HOAC has previously saluted the Hallahan family, ‘The First Family of Stock Car Racing in the Maritimes’, it is fitting that we specifically recognize Debby for her contributions to the sport we love. Debby followed in her Dad, Jim’s, footsteps, racing at multiple tracks and learning by starting in the Pony division and working her way up to the Pro Stock division (formally the Modified division). Debby helped break ground for female drivers and was an inspiration for countless fans who cheered her on every weekend, around the Maritimes.
