Today, Heart of a Champion’s ‘Saturday Salute’ is Prince Edward Island’s, Wayne Gaudet! Wayne’s love of racing started early in life and on 2 wheels! He raced all over the Maritime’s with his stout drag-bike and set low E.T. at Oyster Bed Speedway, a record unbroken for many years! Wayne also enjoyed the thrill of superbike racing before he turned his attention to 4 wheels! 🙂 Wayne’s long and prosperous stock car career started with grassroots racing on PEI, crewing for a local pro stock team. He then moved to the Crew Chief’s position with Randy MacDonald on the ACT tour in the early ’90s, winning many races! 🙂 Wayne’s passion for stock cars led him down south where he’s become a highly respected and top fabricator within the NASCAR community. Wayne has been on 2 NASCAR Cup-winning teams with both Matt Kenseth and Kurt Busch! Wayne was also part of Trevor Bayne’s Daytona 500 win with the famed Wood Brothers!
