Today, Heart of a Champions Saturday Salute is one of the most unsung heroes in Maritime motorsports, Don Mahar! Don started his racing career in the 60s running a Mini Brute to several feature wins and championships! Don’s love of motorsports started at a very young age and has continued to grow stronger by the decade! Donnie would be considered one of the most effective motorsports ‘builders’ in the Maritimes encompassing drag racing, stocks, road course, and karts! Donnie’s love of racing is, and has always been, a family affair as you can still find him, today, tuning his grandson’s legend car, go-kart and bandolero!
