Today, Heart of a Champion’s ‘Saturday Salute’ is Hudson, New Hampshire’s Dave Dion & Dion Brothers Racing! Dave has a special connection to the Maritime’s as his wife is from New Brunswick! Dave and his brothers made several trips to the Maritime’s over the years with their stout Fords, including racing in the first IWK Riverside 250 in 1977! Although a late bloomer when he first started driving, Dave became one of the most dominant drivers in the Northeast, spanning 40 + years, winning hundreds of features include 3 Oxford 250’s! Like Frank Sinatra once sang, ‘I did it my way’, the Dion Brothers did it ‘their way’ and proved that with hard work, determination and refuse to quit attitude, they could reach the pinnacle of stock car racing! 🙂 Whether you were a Ford fan or not, ‘Dynamite’ Dave was always one to watch as he worked his way through the field! Dion Brothers racing, your Maritime race fans salute you! You all have the Heart of a Champion! 🙂 Photos: FB
