Today, Heart of a Champion proudly salutes New Brunswick’s, Jerry Campbell, as this weeks ‘Saturday Salute’ recipient! As a driver and track owner, Jerry’s contributions to Maritime stock car racing are far reaching!In the fall of 1983, Jerry opened Petty International Raceway, outside of Moncton New Brunswick. It was a state-of-the-art facilty for the 80’s and quickly became a fan and driver favorite due to the close proximity the seating is located to the racing action and the banked turns for the drivers! Jerry ran many different classes of cars at Petty in the 80’s, which included Super Modified’s, MASCAR (Pro Stock), Mini Stock & Sportsman.Jerry’s vision to build a facility where memories can be made and cherished for a lifetime is evident in the pictures included in this post.
