Today’s Heart of a Champion’s ‘Saturday Salute’ is Nova Scotia’s Borden Hanley! Borden’s love of racing and anything fast on 2 or 4 wheels started at an early age and a love shared by other family members such as his brother and stock car legend, Jr. Hanley! 🙂 Considering Borden LOVED racing would be an understatement. Not only did Borden love motorsports but he was a life-long ambassador for Maritime motorsports as a competitor, fan, sponsor, and promoter! Drag racing, stock car, 4×4, classic car, bikes, Borden was passionately involved and willing to lend a helping hand to anyone! He was happiest building cars, trucks and engines but it was his love of family that completed his life. 🙂 A life cut short in 2015, however, we can say that Borden lived his life exactly how he wanted and with passion!
A life-long mechanic, Borden used his ‘Hanley-ingenuity’ to build some stout racing machines, over the years, that took him to the winners circle many times! 🙂 Borden you are sadly missed by your family and large Maritime motorsports family. You exemplified Heart of a Champion.
