Today, Heart of a Champion’s Saturday Salute is Maritime stock car promoter Bob Brooks! Bob was a pioneer in the business of promoting stock car races and tracks. Some would even consider him a visionary who helped guide Maritime stock car racing well into the mid 70s! Yarmouth International Speedway and Drag City were the two main tracks Bob helped guide through 60s and 70s, bringing ‘big name’ talent from outside of the Maritime’s to compete against the likes of Carmen Christie, Bill Cummins, Frank Fraser, Jr. Hanley and Terry Clattenburg! Bob Brooks, thank you for the dedication! You had the Heart of a Champion.
