Today, Heart of a Champion’s ‘Saturday Salute’ is Nova Scotia’s, Deborah Miller! Deborah is arguably the ‘First Lady of Atlantic Sports Car Racing’ and helped pave the way for other female sports car racers in Atlantic Canada! She started in auto slalom in the early 70s and helped hone her driving skills as an instructor with the BMW driving schools & many other high-performance driving schools. Deborah finished ‘First Lady Overall’ at the National Slalom event in 1976 and competed at the Moosehead Grand Prix, held in both Halifax and Dartmouth (Shearwater), finishing 3rd in her class in 1992! You would be hard-pressed to find a more passionate person for slalom and sports cars in Atlantic Canada. 🙂 A true ambassador for Maritime motorsports, Deborah you have the Heart of a Champion. 🙂 Photo’s: MMHOF
